Common Questions

Answers, before you ask.

The questions homeowners ask us most often. If yours isn't here, send us a note — we answer the phone, too.

Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Every estimate is free and there's no obligation. We'll walk your space, talk through scope, and follow up with a detailed written estimate so you can decide if we're the right fit.
How long does a typical kitchen or bathroom remodel take?
Bathrooms typically run 3–5 weeks. Kitchens generally 6–10 weeks, depending on scope, custom cabinetry lead times, and any layout changes. We'll give you a real timeline at the estimate — and we hit it.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Wisconsin Licensed Contractor with full liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're happy to provide proof of both before any project begins.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. Anything that requires a permit, we pull it and manage the inspection process. It's part of the job.
Can I supply my own materials?
Generally yes for finish materials like tile, fixtures, and hardware. We'll quote labor accordingly. For structural materials and trade items (drywall, lumber, plumbing rough-in), we usually supply to control quality and timing.
How are payments structured?
We use a standard milestone-based draw schedule. Typically a deposit at signing, draws at major milestones (demo, rough-in, finish), and a final payment at completion. Everything is spelled out in the contract.
Do you offer financing?
We can connect you with several local lenders who specialize in home improvement financing. Most homeowners find this easier than going through their existing bank.
What if something isn't right at the end?
That's what the punch list is for. We walk every finished project together — anything you flag, we fix. Beyond that, we stand behind our work and respond quickly to any warranty issues.
How do you handle dust and protecting our home?
Floor protection on every walking path. Plastic containment around the work zone with zip walls when needed. End-of-day cleanup. We treat your home like ours.
Will the same crew be on my project the whole time?
Yes. The crew you meet at the start is the crew that finishes the job. We don't sub out the work — every project is run by our own team.
